If you want to learn how to handle a pistol safely and responsibly or to improve your marksmanship, you can do this in our supportive, non-competitive, co-ed environment. Our Pistol Basics Course is taught with the same thorough and thoughtful process as all our courses are presented.
Our staff will help dispel the mysteries of safely and effectively shooting a pistol.
This Pistol Intro class will be taught at an indoor shooting range.
- The fundamentals of marksmanship and principles of target shooting
- How to solve mechanical problems that stop the pistol from firing when you’re using it (jams/stopages)
- Hands-on experience with different sized (calibers) pistols
Students may use their own handgun and their own ammo (no steel cased or bi-metal), or pistol rentals and ammo are available. All students will shoot an initial course of fire using a .22 caliber pistol.

We use .22 caliber semi auto pistols which produce less noise and recoil, which is an effective way to introduce people to shooting.
